ABOUT CIRCUM-DISC / À PROPOS DE CIRCUM-DISC

CIRCUM is a collective of jazz musicians based in the MALTERIE in Lille (FRANCE), created in 2000 to promote contemporary jazz. The group merged in 2010 with the CRIME to form the collective Muzzix.

Created in 2004, the Circum-Disc label wants to present, in a medium other than the concert, new music, accomplished with a real artistic line, both in terms of sound, music or graphic.

In early 2007, CIRCUM-DISC offers a new series around the improvised and experimental music called HeliX, with the release in January 2007 of the double CD of La Pieuvre.

In 2009, a new collection, microcidi, was created for productions of new works, live recordings, …

Circum-DISC is distributed in France and abroad by LES ALLUMÉS DU JAZZ, and most of the references is available on streaming and download platforms with Atypeek Music .

CIRCUM est un collectif de musiciens de jazz basé à la MALTERIE à Lille, créé en 2000 pour promouvoir le jazz de création. Le collectif fusionne en 2010 avec le CRIME pour former le collectif Muzzix.

Créé en 2004, le label Circum-Disc veut présenter, sous un autre support que le concert, une musique nouvelle, aboutie, avec une véritable ligne artistique, tant du point de vue du son, de la musique que du graphisme.

Début 2007, CIRCUM-DISC propose une nouvelle série autour des musiques improvisées et expérimentales intitulée HeliX, avec la sortie en janvier 2007 du double CD de la Pieuvre, grand orchestre d’improvisation émanant du CRIME, Centre Régional d’Improvisation et de Musiques Expérimentales.

En 2009, une nouvelle collection, microcidi, voit le jour pour des productions d’oeuvres nouvelles, de concerts, …

CIRCUM-DISC est distribué en France et à l’étranger par LES ALLUMES DU JAZZ, et la plupart de nos références est disponible sur les plateformes de streaming ou de téléchargement distribuée par Atypeek Music.
